We refer to the above matter. This press statement lauds addressing a critical shortage of cardiothoracic surgeons in Malaysia is urgent, with over 1500 patients awaiting life-saving surgeries. We call on MOH, MOHE, MMC, and MQA to recognize the Cardiothoracic Parallel Pathway and enhance collaboration to mitigate this crisis.
