In this episode, we have collaborated with Dr Madhu who has specialised in Geriatric Medicine and has also obtained a master degree in Natural Medicine and Yoga Sciences in India, as well as a diploma in lifestyle and dietary sciences from Ireland. Her special interests lie in Geriatric Medicine and in Natural Health Care which involves mainly dietary and lifestyle interventions in health promotion and disease prevention. She is also the author of the book “The Wonder Food- Probiotics.”
In conventional thinking, we are advised to keep away from all the bacteria. In fact, in our body, there is this good bacteria that are essential to help us stay healthy especially on gut health. When there is a loss in “good” bacteria for example after you take antibiotics, or having imbalance between the “good” and “bad” bacteria, probiotic is the best choice to replace them.
