The Welfare Taskforce for Malaysian Students Abroad will be launching our very first Mental Health Webinar with the support from the Malaysian Medics International (MMI)!
Dr. Sean Thum is a graduate of the Perdana University-Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (PURCSI) programme, and is currently working as a doctor in the Department of Psychiatry in the south of Malaysia. He was involved in the Covid-19 frontlines at the beginning of the Movement Control Order in Malaysia. 😎 In addition to that, Dr. Sean is the president of MMI Doctors, and was the representative for Pulai in the Parlimen Digital.
In this session, we will have an informal chat with Dr. Sean in regards on the common mental health issues that students are facing during the lockdown, as well as getting some tips/advice from him on how we can care for our own mental wellbeing. We will also explore on the topic of Psychological First Aid (PFA) – what it is and how we can make good use of it as a student!
Most importantly, you will get the opportunity to ask any questions you have to Dr. Sean during the live chat. We look forward to seeing everyone on the 15th of Augusts (Sat) and feel free to bring along your family or friends that may be benefitted from this session! Take care!
