“Sexual Harassment: Doctors - The Hidden Victims”

We are pleased to introduce you to Prof Dr Dayang, the Co-Chair of the Health Committee for the National Council of Women’s Organisations (NCWO) Malaysia. She will be addressing the cultural perceptions on sexual harassment in Malaysia as well as how will formal legislation improve efforts in combating sexual harassment.

Madam Betty Yeoh, one of the founding members of All Women’s Action Society (AWAM) will be explaining more about the long term health outcomes of sexual harassment.

Dr Lee Yew Fong is the Deputy Hospital Director at Sarawak General Hospital and advisor to Malaysian Medical Association’s new initiative - Women in Medicine. She will gives her expert insights on the sexual harassment occurring in the clinical workplace.

We are also pleased to have Ms Isabel Chung who is WAO’s Research and Advocacy Officer to tell us why sexual harassment occurs and how to address victim-blaming.
