The Malaysian Medical Summit (MMS) is back, and it is back with a mission to reintroduce “The Good Doctor” to the Malaysian healthcare system!

This year, we are taking an introspective look to remind ourselves what values and qualities a “Good Doctor” should have. Through the Summit, we hope to plant the seeds of being a Good Doctor in our younger medics besides hoping to reignite the romance of doctoring within our seasoned colleagues.

Apart from that, we will, for the very first time, be involving members of the public in our Summit. For this Summit is designed to not only engage healthcare professionals, but also those who are interested in the policies that make our healthcare system.

By giving you a foundation and a platform to discuss, we nurture your ability to voice out your opinions on the system. You would be educated on the limitations of the current healthcare system to address key pertinent issues. In addition to that, skills such as analysing arguments, effective rebuttal, and analysing proper policy would be taught in this integrated system. This would definitely equip you in standing up for what your believe the medical system should look like in a way that represent you and the people that you care about.

The assembly also aims to give you a voice in influencing the current healthcare system as the resolutions would be passed on to the Ministry of Health for review. Engaging in this discussion would mean that you can engage and make a significant change in the healthcare system in a meaningful way. If there is a pertinent issue you would want to talk about, come attend and voice it out!
