In 2003, the entire human genome was sequenced, and this is important as it has allowed researchers to begin to understand the blueprint for building a person. Till this day, we still do not know what every gene codes for, but if we do, does it mean that we can fulfil a parent’s wish and genetically modify a baby’s genes? What are the ethical concerns?
