⚠️Nov 4, 2019-Thousands of young doctors may possibly become unemployed or work in unrelated fields, a physician said after the Health Ministry announced that medical officers couldn’t be guaranteed permanent jobs.

⚠️Dec 25, 2019-The Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) has launched an online petition demanding the reinstatement of the RM750 critical allowance for new healthcare professionals joining the civil service beginning next year.

⚠️March 18, 2020-Nearly 1,500 contract housemen were only offered a two-year contract as medical officers on the UD41 grade to complete their compulsory service, WITHOUT any extension.

Nowadays, we have seen too many "not-so-great" news surrounding the rights, welfare and prospect of junior doctors in Malaysia. With the rising number of medical graduates, these issues have received more coverage from the media and much attention from the public. Besides feeling flabbergasted, most of the medical students grapple with uncertain futures and remain hopeful that these issues could be addressed properly and resolved before entering the workforce.
